Falls are the leading cause of accidental death among older people, and physical activity is one of four steps recommended by organizations like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to help prevent them. But compared with the other three — adjusting medications, having one’s vision checked and creating a safe home environment — exercise is often the most challenging and intimidating for seniors.
